| Home / What We Do / Backup / Hosting / Definition of Terms * Offsite Backup Any type of data is updated in near real-time to an offsite server using the latest security certificates, data compression and byte level deltas. Transfer time is optimized, allowing even large databases to be quickly updated and backed up. Your business will survive, recover and continue after a disaster, crash, deletion or data loss. * Replicate/Mirror With replicate, files are automatically duplicated and sent to a designated central location or locations, allowing remote workstations to update files to the central repositories. Anything you determine should be replicated, will be replicated. Data matches at all locations and is up to date. Similarly, mirroring updates and maintains historically accurate files at each and every remote location, allowing remote workstations to update each others files as well. * Synchronize Files are always changing. TucanBackup tracks all changes to data files and sends the latest versions to as many locations as desired. File versions are also archived, allowing you to recall a specific file, at a specific date and time. Never loose a single byte of information, for any reason, ever again! * Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance If any location goes down, even if it is destroyed, offsite backup, replication/mirroring, and synchronization ensures that data is never lost. Fail-safe business continuance is maintained with the capability to restore/rebuild any locally damaged system, workstation or individual file. Each location has the ability to restore the others with all files and changes intact and historically accurate. The system can never go down completely without a backup.
